Digging shovel ABC Blijham model 1/4 000. Polished shovel with pointed blade edge. Suitable for clay soil. Brief explanation of blade size: 000 = small blade size, 00 = medium blade size, 0 = larger blade size, 1 = large blade size, because people used to have blade sizes of 1, 2, 3 and had to work with a smaller blade size, it was decided to introduce a 0 after the 1 and then, when it had to be even smaller, a 00 and 000 blade size. So the 1 and 2 have nothing to do with the hardness (rockwell) of the blade. Brief explanation of socket position: STRAIGHT on the blade means the handle is almost straight in line with the blade, D1/4: the socket is bent 35 cm and is often used with 00 & 000 digging shovels, D1/2: the socket is bent 55 cm and is often used with 0 scoop shovels and concrete shovels, D3/4: the socket is bent 70 cm and is also often used with 00, 0, 1 and 2 scoop shovels (sizes 1 and 2 are mainly used in Belgium).
