Concrete shovel ATLAS with socket in position 1/2, bent, blade size 0 and straight edge. Delivered without handle. The red lacquered blade is extra hardened.

Thanks to the straight front edge of this concrete shovel it can be used perfectly for leveling or flat scooping of a sand bed or trench. This concrete shovel is often used by pavers, infrastructure companies and gardeners.

Explanation of socket angle
The socket angle indicates the angle relative to the blade. The higher the socket angle, the more inclined the socket is. This determines whether a spade or shovel is designed for digging or scooping. The socket angle is measured from the ground up to the socket when the blade lies flat on the ground.

Straight: the handle stands almost straight on the blade
1/4: the socket is bent up 35 mm, for example for digging shovels
1/2: the socket is bent up 55 mm, for example for scoop shovels and concrete shovels
3/4: the socket is bent up 70cm, for example with scoop shovels and deep spades

Explanation of blade width
In the past there were blade widths that ranged from number 2 down to 0, where 2 is the largest. Over time the blades had to be made smaller because of working conditions, and smaller sizes were introduced.
