Thanks to the narrow shape and the highly arched socket, a cable shovel is ideal for scooping out trenches. Handy when laying fiber optic cable, irrigation or underground cable. ATLAS DIAMANT cable shovels are popular with, among others, civil engineering and infrastructure companies, road pavers, landscapers and in construction. The ATLAS shovel handle is made from ash rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood has been computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. As a result, the handle does not shrink, the tool remains firmly fixed to the handle and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or staples. In addition, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba which provides a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, preventing blisters.
ATLAS and ATLAS DIAMANT cable shovels are available in various versions, both with and without a handle.
Explanation of socket angleThe socket angle indicates the angle relative to the blade. The higher the socket angle, the more tilted the socket. This determines whether a tool is designed for digging or scooping. The socket angle is measured from the ground to the socket when the blade lies flat on the ground.Straight: the handle is almost straight in line with the blade1/4: the socket is bent up 35 mm, for example for digging shovels1/2: the socket is bent up 55 mm, for example for scoop shovels and concrete shovels3/4: the socket is bent up 70 cm, for example with scoop shovels and deep shovels
