Digging shovel ATLAS DIAMANT 1/4 000 hardened, polished, ROUND TREADS, with gooseneck shovel handle 110 cm double bent

Digging shovel ATLAS DIAMANT, Drents model with socket angle 1/4 bent and blade size 000, complete with a double-bent gooseneck shovel handle in length 110 cm, equipped with a through-mount T-grip. The polished blade is hardened, has a sharp edge and is provided with round treads. Thanks to the step, footwear is not damaged.

The ASH ATLAS gooseneck shovel handle is made from ash under-stems, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood has been redried in a climate chamber under computer control. This prevents the handle from shrinking, keeps tools tightly seated on the handle and allows the through-mount T-grip to be pressed onto the handle without glue or staples. Additionally the ATLAS handle is waxed with vegetable Carnauba which ensures a longer service life and a pleasant smooth handle, thus preventing blisters.

Explanation socket angle
The socket angle indicates the angle relative to the blade. The higher the socket angle, the more slanted the socket. This determines whether a spade or shovel is designed for digging or scooping. The socket angle is measured from the ground to the socket when the blade lies flat on the ground.

Straight: the handle is almost straight in line with the blade
1/4: the socket is bent 35 mm, for example for digging shovels
1/2: the socket is bent 55 mm, for example for scoop shovels and concrete shovels
3/4: the socket is bent 70 cm, for example with scoop shovels and deep shovels

Explanation blade width
Previously there were blade widths that ran from number 2 to 0, where 2 is the largest. Over time blades had to be made smaller due to working conditions and smaller sizes were introduced.
