ATLAS DIAMOND digging shovel made of stainless steel or INOX, Drents model with socket position 1/4 bent and blade size 000, complete with a bent ATLAS shovel handle with a length of 110 cm, equipped with a through-mount T-grip. The stainless steel blade has a sharp edge.
Stainless steel shovels and spades are rust-resistant and smooth, but more susceptible to breakage than boron steel. Therefore, no warranty is provided for blade breakage on stainless steel spades and shovels. The ATLAS shovel handle is made from ash wood rootstock, which contains the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood has been computer-controlled and kiln-dried again in a climate chamber. As a result, the handle will not shrink, tools stay firmly attached to the handle, and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or a staple. ATLAS handles are bent in boiling water. This allows the wood grain to bend with the handle and prevents the grain from running out of the handle. The bending process makes the handle extremely strong. In addition, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba, which ensures a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters.
Explanation of socket positionThe socket position indicates the angle relative to the blade. The higher the socket position, the more angled the socket is. This determines whether a shovel or spade is designed for digging or scooping. The socket position is measured from the ground to the socket when the blade is lying flat on the ground.
Straight: the handle stands almost straight on the blade1/4: the socket is bent 35 mm, for example for digging shovels1/2: the socket is bent 55 mm, for example for scoop shovels and concrete shovels3/4: the socket is bent 70 cm, for example for scoop shovels and deep shovelsExplanation of blade widthIn the past, there were blade widths ranging from number 2 down to 0, with 2 being the largest. Over time, the blades had to become smaller due to working conditions, and smaller sizes were introduced.
The blade sizes for shovels and spades, from large to small, are: 2 – 1 – 0 – 00 – 000
