Scoop shovel ATLAS DIAMANT Dutch model with socket position 3/4 bent and blade size 0, delivered without handle. The hardened blade is blue lacquered and has a bright polished, sharp edge.

This loose shovel can be combined with a wide range of ATLAS Blijham handles, spade handles, shovel handles, or bent and double-bent handles.

Explanation of the socket angle
The socket angle indicates the angle relative to the blade. The higher the socket angle, the more slanted the socket is. This determines whether a spade or shovel is designed for stabbing or for scooping. The socket angle is measured from the ground to the socket when the blade lies flat on the ground.

Straight: the handle is almost straight in line with the blade
1/4: the socket is bent up 35 mm, for example for digging shovels
1/2: the socket is bent up 55 mm, for example for scoop shovels and concrete shovels
3/4: the socket is bent up 70 cm, for example for scoop shovels and deep spades

Explanation of blade width
In the past there were blade widths that ran from number 2 down to 0, with 2 being the largest. Over time the blades had to be made smaller due to working conditions and smaller sizing standards were introduced.
