Digging shovel ATLAS DIAMANT, Drents model with socket angle 1/4 bent and blade size 00, is supplied without a handle. The bright polished blade is hardened and has a sharp edge. This loose shovel can be combined with various ATLAS Blijham handles, spade handles, shovel handles, bent or double-bent handles.Explanation of socket angleThe socket angle indicates the angle relative to the blade. The higher the socket angle, the more sloped the socket. This determines whether a spade or shovel is designed for stabbing or scooping. The socket angle is measured from the ground to the socket when the blade lies flat on the ground.Straight: the handle is almost straight on the blade1/4: the socket is bent up 35 mm, for example for digging shovels1/2: the socket is bent up 55 mm, for example for scoop shovels and concrete shovels3/4: the socket is bent up 70 cm, for example with scoop shovels and deep spadesExplanation of blade widthIn the past there were blade widths that ran from number 2 down to 0, with 2 being the largest. Over time the blades had to become smaller due to working conditions, and smaller sizes were introduced. The blade sizes for shovels and spades from large to small are: 2 – 1 – 0 – 00 – 000
