Digging shovel ATLAS DIAMANT 1/4 00, hardened and bright polished, without handle

Digging shovel ATLAS DIAMANT, Drents model with socket angle 1/4 bent and blade size 00, is supplied without a handle. The bright polished blade is hardened and has a sharp edge. This loose shovel can be combined with various ATLAS Blijham handles, spade handles, shovel handles, bent or double-bent handles.

Explanation of socket angle
The socket angle indicates the angle relative to the blade. The higher the socket angle, the more sloped the socket. This determines whether a spade or shovel is designed for stabbing or scooping. The socket angle is measured from the ground to the socket when the blade lies flat on the ground.

Straight: the handle is almost straight on the blade
1/4: the socket is bent up 35 mm, for example for digging shovels
1/2: the socket is bent up 55 mm, for example for scoop shovels and concrete shovels
3/4: the socket is bent up 70 cm, for example with scoop shovels and deep spades

Explanation of blade width
In the past there were blade widths that ran from number 2 down to 0, with 2 being the largest. Over time the blades had to become smaller due to working conditions, and smaller sizes were introduced.
