Thanks to its narrow shape and the highly arched socket, a cable shovel is ideal for scooping out trenches. Handy for laying fiber optic, irrigation or underground cable. ATLAS DIAMANT cable shovels are popular with, among others, civil engineering and infrastructure companies, pavers, landscapers and in the construction industry.

The ATLAS shovel handle is made from ash wood rootstocks, which contain the best timber. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood has been re-dried in a climate chamber under computer control. As a result the handle does not shrink, tools remain firmly attached to the handle and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or a staple. ATLAS handles are bent in boiling water. This causes the wood grain to bend with the handle and prevents the grain from running out of the handle. The bending process makes the handle extremely strong. In addition, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based carnauba wax, which ensures a longer lifespan and a pleasant smooth handle, preventing blisters.

Explanation of socket angle
The socket angle indicates the angle relative to the blade. The higher the socket angle, the more the socket is inclined. This determines whether a shovel or shovels is designed for digging or scooping. The socket angle is measured from the ground to the socket when the blade lies flat on the ground.

Straight: the handle stands almost straight up from the blade
1/4: the socket is bent up 35 mm, for example for digging shovels
1/2: the socket is bent up 55 mm, for example for scoop shovels and concrete shovels
3/4: the socket is bent up 70 cm, for example for scoop shovels and deep shovels
