Digging shovel ATLAS DIAMANT, Drents model with a socket angle of 1/4 bent and blade size 000, complete with an extra double-bent gooseneck shovel handle 110 cm long, fitted with a through-mount T-grip. The polished blade is hardened, has a sharp edge and is provided with a flat step. Thanks to the step, footwear is not damaged.

The ash wood ATLAS gooseneck shovel handle is made from ash under-stems, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood is re-dried in a climate chamber under computer control. As a result the handle does not shrink, tools stay firmly attached to the handle and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or staples. In addition, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba, which provides a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, preventing blisters.

Explanation of socket angle
The socket angle indicates the angle relative to the blade. The higher the socket angle, the more slanted the socket is. This determines whether a shovel or spade is designed for stabbing or scooping. The socket angle is measured from the ground up to the socket when the blade lies flat on the ground.

Straight: the handle is almost straight on the blade
1/4: the socket is bent up 35 mm, for example for digging shovels
1/2: the socket is bent up 55 mm, for example for scoop shovels and concrete shovels
3/4: the socket is bent up 70 cm, for example for scoop shovels and deep shovels

Explanation of blade width
In the past there were blade widths that ran from number 2 down to 0, where 2 is the largest. Over time the blades had to be made smaller because of working conditions and smaller sizing was introduced.
