Wooden ash wood wedge small, 45 x 60 mm (per piece)

Wooden ash wedge, small 45x60mm, packaged in a handy hanging blister provided with EAN coding, description and item number. This wooden wedge is 1) used for small repairs (filling gaps/space that have arisen through frequent or long use). The wooden wedge is tapered and you cut off a piece from the wedge equal to the size of the space to be filled, carefully drive this into the space to be filled, remove the remainder using a fine-toothed saw (hacksaw), sand the repair carefully smooth and the familiar tool will feel like new again. 2) This wedge is used for mounting an axe handle provided with a slot. The wooden wedge is tapered and is therefore easy to drive firmly into the handle (slot). The wooden wedge should be installed as deep as possible and the remainder must be sawn off with a fine-toothed saw (hacksaw). Tip: use metal wedges (item no. 651415) and place these perpendicular to the already installed wooden wedge for locking. The axe handle expands and is clamped in the axe head. 3) This wedge is also used in spade and shovel handles with a slot at the underside, such as those from Sneeboer.
