Spade Spear & Jackson 1042AV wide with fiberglass T-handle 78 cm. ATLAS cable and drainagespade, with round treads, polished blade, complete with a very strong fiberglass T-handle. Suitable for heavy use. The recognisable yellow handle has a number of specific features such as: the handgrip is covered with natural rubber, the handle has a thick fiberglass reinforcement of 16 mm and is covered with a special plastic. This plastic protects the fiberglass against damage (damaged fiberglass produces hundreds of upright fibres which can cause wounds that may become infected). This handle is not completely rigid, but has a certain degree of springiness. Because this handle is so strong (stronger than the blade), no warranty is given against breakage of the mounted spade blade. Should the handle or the blade unexpectedly need to be replaced, these are available separately (handle part no. 211800 or 211802), (blade part no. 801041), (rivet part no. 651590).
