ATLAS hickory claw hammer handle, with head size 26 x 14 mm and length 12” or 31 cm. Thanks to the oval shape of the handle, the hammer head is always in the correct striking direction. For mounting the handle, two metal hammer wedges no. 3 with item number 651425 are recommended.

Hickory is a heavy and hard American wood species that is even stronger than ash wood. Hickory wood is exceptionally tough, shock-resistant, and resilient. The ATLAS hickory handle is also waxed with plant-based carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt, and helps it retain its beautiful natural color. The waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters. In addition, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
