This hammer handle is suitable as a replacement handle for the large ATLAS rubber mallets no. 8 (item number 998695 and 998780) and ATLAS rubber mallets no. 9 (item number 998700 and 998790). No pins or wedges are needed to mount this handle in rubber mallets.

The ATLAS Hickory handle is also waxed with the plant-based Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt, and helps preserve its beautiful light color. The waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters. In addition, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
