ATLAS engineer's hammer handle made of hickory wood for a 1000 gram engineer's hammer, with head dimensions of 18.5 x 31.5 mm and a length of 35 cm. Due to the oval shape of the handle, the hammer head is always aligned in the correct striking direction. For mounting the handle, a metal hammer wedge no. 4 with article number 651445 is recommended.

Hickory is a heavy and hard American wood species that is even stronger than ash. Hickory wood is exceptionally tough, shock-resistant, and resilient. The ATLAS hickory handle is also waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful natural color. The waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters. In addition, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
