Due to the oval shape of the handle, the hammer head is always aligned in the correct striking direction. For mounting the handle, a metal hammer wedge no. 2 with item number 651415 is recommended.

Hickory is a heavy and hard American wood species that is even stronger than ash wood. Hickory wood is exceptionally tough, shock-resistant, and resilient. The ATLAS hickory handle is also waxed with plant-based carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt, and helps it retain its beautiful natural color. Waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping to prevent blisters.
