Sledge hammer handle ATLAS HICKORY 90 cm, square head 50 x 40 mm

Strong hickory Atlas sledgehammer handle with a square eye

Atlas sledgehammer handle or fencing maul handle made of hickory wood, with square eye in eye size 50 x 40 mm and length 90 cm, suitable for sledgehammers and fencing mauls with a large eye. For mounting the handle, two metal hammer wedges no. 4A with item number 651455 are recommended.

The oval shape of the handle ensures that the hammer head is always in the correct striking direction.

Hickory is a heavy and hard American wood species that is even stronger than ash wood. Hickory wood is exceptionally tough, shock-resistant, and resilient. The Atlas hickory handle is also waxed with plant-based carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt, and preserves its beautiful natural color. Waxing ensures a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping to prevent blisters. In addition, waxing handles with plant-based wax is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.

Atlas hickory sledgehammer handles are manufactured, for the most part, carbon-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various versions.
