Engineer's hammer handle ATLAS made of ash wood for a 200 gram engineer's hammer, with head size 11 x 19 mm and length 28 cm. Due to the oval shape of the handle, the hammer head is always in the correct striking direction. For mounting the handle, a metal hammer wedge no. 2 with item number 651415 is recommended.

ATLAS hammer handles are made from ash rootstock, which contains the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood boards are air dried. During the second process, the ash wood is computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. By re-drying, the handle does not shrink and the hammer head stays firmly attached to the handle.

Next, the ATLAS handle is waxed with the plant-based Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful light color. The waxing ensures a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
