Fencing maul handle or garden hammer handle ATLAS made of ash wood, with head dimensions of 57 x 28 mm and a length of 110 cm. Suitable for a fencing maul or garden hammer with an oval eye, such as the plastic garden hammer with item number 650850. Due to the oval shape of the handle, the hammer head is always positioned in the correct striking direction. No dowel or wedge is needed to mount this tapered handle.

ATLAS fencing maul and hammer handles are made from ash tree trunks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood boards are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. Because of the re-drying, the handle does not shrink and the hammer head stays firmly attached to the handle.

The ATLAS handle is then waxed with plant-based carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt, and helps it retain its beautiful light color. Waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters. In addition, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
