Fencing maul handle ATLAS 100 cm oval, head size 51 x 34 mm

Fencing maul handle or garden hammer handle ATLAS made of ash wood, with head dimensions of 51 x 34 mm and a length of 100 cm.

This handle is suitable for a wooden fencing maul or garden hammer with an oval eye, such as the hammers with item numbers 650800, 650820, and 650950. Because of the oval shape of the handle, the hammer head is always aligned in the correct striking direction. No key or wedge is needed to mount this tapered handle.

ATLAS fencing maul and hammer handles are made from ash rootstock, which contains the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood boards are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is computer-controlled redried in a climate chamber. Because of the redrying, the handle does not shrink and the hammer head stays firmly attached to the handle.

The ATLAS handle is then waxed with the plant-based Carnauba wax. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt, and preserves its beautiful natural color. The waxing ensures a longer lifespan and a pleasantly smooth handle, which helps prevent blisters. In addition, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
