Spade handle ATLAS plastic 78 cm milled end, with fiber core 21 mm, for S&J spade

Spade handle ATLAS made of plastic in the colour yellow, straight T-handle with a length of 78 cm, provided with a fiber core, a rubber-coated grip, and a milled end, smooth, narrow point, suitable for a Spear & Jackson spade or ATLAS gooseneck spade. This handle has almost the same length as an original Spear & Jackson spade handle. For assembly a 40 mm rivet is recommended (article number 651590, including assembly advice).

Thanks to the 24 mm thick glass fiber reinforcement, the ATLAS plastic shovel handle withstands extremely heavy work and is virtually unbreakable. The strong plastic protects the fiber core against damage (damaged glass fiber has hundreds of upright fibres; these can cause wounds that may become infected). The handle is not completely rigid, but offers a desirable degree of springy resilience. The grip of the shovel handle is covered with natural rubber, which provides a good grip.

Because this handle is so strong (stronger than the blade), no warranty is given on the mounted blade in the event of breakage.
