ATLAS gooseneck shovel handle made of ash wood, double bent T-handle in a length of 100 cm, with strong through-mount T-grip. Also known as a paver handle or swan-neck handle. Gooseneck shovel handles can be recognized by the thickened lower section of the handle. The thickened lower section makes the handle extra strong and ensures it fits firmly in the hand.
Thanks to the double bent S-shape, the handle rises nicely high while the shovel or concrete shovel lies flat on the sand. This ATLAS double bent gooseneck shovel handle is usually used in the infrastructure and paving sectors together with a concrete shovel, screeding shovel, digging shovel, or a scoop shovel.
ATLAS gooseneck shovel handles are made from ash tree trunks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood boards are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. Because of the re-drying, the handle does not shrink, the tool remains firmly attached to the handle, and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or a staple.Next, the ATLAS handle is waxed with vegetable Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt, and preserves its beautiful natural color. The waxing ensures a longer service life and a pleasant smooth handle, helping prevent blisters. In addition, vegetable waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.ATLAS gooseneck shovel handles are manufactured entirely carbon-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths and versions.
