Ring for DE WIT sediment dredge or ditch hook

Slide the ring over the handle. Then slide the dredge with the pin into the recess in the ring. Check that the scraper plate points forward and the net can hang toward the back. Also check that both the dredge and the ring are securely in place.

Using a 6 mm wood drill bit, drill straight through the handle at a slow speed. Clear the drill hole of chips and sawdust. Insert a carriage bolt through the drilled hole, with the head and square neck against the wood. Secure the carriage bolt with a nut and tighten until the bolt head is snug, without bending the ring.
