A ditch blade, also called a ditch scythe and edge scythe, is ideal for underwater mowing and clearing ditch edges and banks. The angle of this scythe is flatter (large tang angle) than that of a standard scythe. This keeps the correct mowing angle underwater while you stand on the bank yourself.

By combining the ditch blade with a ditch blade handle, Spar, or ditch hook handle, reeds and other vegetation can be cut far into the water. Sparren and ditch hook handles are available in various lengths.
