These laser-cut teeth, with a kerf of 1.4 mm., saw fresh wood quickly and easily. The saw blade is flexible and only the razor-sharp teeth are impulse hardened. The saw blade is best cleaned with olive oil. Resin dissolves in olive oil, making this an effective and environmentally friendly way to clean the blade and maintain cutting performance. Silky has been manufactured in Japan since 1919 from high-quality SK-4 carbon steel.
