Silky Sugoi pruning saw for both green wood and hardwood

Silky pruning saw Sugoi 360-6.5-5.5, with bent saw blade measuring 36 cm in length and extra-coarse Mirai-Me teeth.

The Silky Sugoi 360-6.5-5.5 is a fixed pruning saw with a strongly bent 36 cm blade, suitable for branches and trunks up to about 18 cm thick. The curvature with a 65 cm radius keeps the teeth in good contact with the wood during the pulling sawing motion. The blade extends into the rubber GOM handle, which dampens vibrations and also provides a good grip with gloves or in wet and cold weather.

The blade is made of high-alloy steel and has an extra-coarse, progressive Mirai-Me tooth pattern from 6.5 to 5.5 teeth per 30 mm. The finer teeth near the handle make it easier to start the cut, after which the coarser teeth quickly remove a lot of wood and clear sawdust. This tooth pattern is suitable for green wood and can also handle hard or dead wood. The cutting width is 1.9 mm. If needed, the teeth can be resharpened with a Silky file.

The included plastic holster has a roller that protects the teeth when inserting the saw, and an open bottom to drain moisture and sawdust. Thanks to its yellow color, the holster is highly visible and can be attached to a climbing harness or to the leg with the Silky leg attachment (leg straps).

Keep the saw blade clean to maintain good cutting performance. Stuck resin can be removed with resin remover or olive oil. Dry the blade after use before folding the saw and store the saw in a dry place.

The literal translation of Sugoi is ‘exceptionally good’. But tree care professionals have given it the nickname ‘Tree Tiger’ because of the aggressively cutting teeth and orange stripes on the handle.
