Silky pruning saw Gomtaro 240-13, with straight 24 cm blade, fine Mirai-Me teeth and sheath.

The Silky Gomtaro 240-13 is a fixed pruning saw with a straight 24 cm blade, suitable for branches up to about 12 cm thick. The straight blade can be guided precisely through the cut and leaves a smooth, controlled finish. This makes this version suitable for training pruning and work in harder wood species, among other tasks. The rubber GOM handle provides a secure grip even in damp conditions and helps dampen vibrations while sawing.

The blade, made of high-quality Japanese steel, has a fine, non-set 13 tines per 30 mm and a kerf 1.1 mm wide. The fine tines are intended for hard, dry or slow-growing wood, such as many fruit trees. They engage evenly, provide more control and a neater finish than a coarse tooth pattern. In fresh, moisture-rich wood, the fine teeth can clog with sawdust more quickly.

The plastic sheath has two guide rollers that protect the tines and keep the saw from falling out. The open bottom of the sheath allows moisture and sawdust to drain away. The Gomtaro sheath also has a detachable belt holder.

Keep the blade clean to maintain good cutting performance. Stuck-on resin can be removed with resin remover or olive oil. Dry the blade after use before folding the saw and store the saw in a dry place.
