The Silky Gomtaro 300-8 is a fixed pruning saw with a straight 30 cm saw blade, suitable for branches up to about 15 cm thick. The straight blade is precise to control and leaves a smooth cut. Thanks to its narrow shape, the saw is easy to handle in densely branched tree canopies and when working close to the ground. The rubber GOM handle absorbs vibrations and provides a balanced feel in the hand.

The blade made of high-quality Japanese steel has a coarse Mirai-Me tooth pattern with 8 tines per 30 mm and a kerf of 1.4 mm. The non-set tines have multiple cutting edges and saw across, diagonally, and with the grain. The coarse tooth pattern engages quickly, removes sawdust well, and is intended for fresh, moisture-rich wood. In dry wood, the tines may engage less easily and cause more vibration. The tine tips are inductively hardened and the blade has a nickel coating to prevent wear and rust formation.

The plastic holster has two guide rollers that protect the tines and prevent the saw from falling out. The open bottom of the holster allows moisture and sawdust to drain away. In addition, the Gomtaro holster has a detachable belt holder.

Keep the saw blade clean to maintain good sawing performance. Stuck resin can be removed with resin remover or olive oil. Dry the blade after use before folding the saw and store the saw in a dry place.
