Silky fixed straight pruning saw Gomtaro 300-8 incl. safety holster. (SILKY article number KSI310230) Blade length: 300 mm (up to approx. 150 mm) Tine spacing: coarse (8 tines per 30 mm) The straight blade of the Gomtaro pruning saw is nickel coated and fitted with Silky's unique Mirai-Me tines. These laser-cut tines, with a kerf of 1.4 mm., saw quickly and easily through fresh wood. The saw blade is flexible and only the razor-sharp tines are impulse hardened. For cutting between knee and shoulder height, a straight saw blade (Type Gomtaro) is recommended; for cutting below the knee and from shoulder height upward, a bent saw blade (Type Zübat) is recommended. The rubber handle fits comfortably and securely in the hand and absorbs vibrations. The Gomtaro pruning saw is available in multiple lengths. All saws in the Gomtaro series come with a lightweight polypropylene holster with detachable belt holder. The holster is designed so that the saw cannot fall out in any way. At the same time, you can pull the saw out of the holster in one smooth motion. The two rollers in the holster prevent the sharp tines from damaging the cover, and the bottom has a large opening for removing moisture and sawdust. The saw blade is best cleaned with olive oil. Resin dissolves in olive oil, making this an effective and environmentally friendly way to clean the blade and preserve cutting performance. Slide the included cover over the cleaned saw blade and store the saw in a dry place. Tip: Keep a spare saw blade nearby so you can always continue sawing easily.
