Silky polesaw Hayate 6100-6.5, 4-piece, extendable to 6.1 m incl. saw blade and sheath. (SILKY article number KSI037242) Transport/collapsed length: 2450 mm (incl. blade) A true heavy-duty polesaw. The Hayate has a heavier construction than the Hayauchi, making this telescopic polesaw even more robust. This telescopic polesaw from Silky is razor-sharp, strong, easy to use, and lightweight. The 420 mm long bent blade of the Hayate is equipped with Silky's unique Mirai-Me tooth pattern. These laser-cut teeth, with a kerf of 1.7 mm, provide a substantial wood removal rate so you can easily and very quickly saw through even the thickest branches without the saw getting stuck. The saw blade is chrome-plated, flexible, and only the razor-sharp teeth are impulse-hardened. Two blades (sickles) work together for optimal pruning results. With the lower blade you score the bark first, so it does not tear away along the trunk when the branch falls. The upper blade prevents the saw from coming out of the cut. And with this upper blade, you can easily cut small twigs from the trunk or pull small (dead) branches out of the tree. Thanks to the oval shape of the aluminium pole, the saw blade stays in the correct sawing direction and provides precise control when pruning at height. The oval shape of the handle also provides strength and rigidity לאורך the entire length and minimizes bending. The locking mechanisms (push buttons and clamps) together provide the safest and most stable locking of the desired pole length. The clamps of the handle and the locking knob of the saw blade with socket are both attached in line with each other on the top side of the telescopic handle. The lower pole section is wrapped with rubber for a comfortable and secure grip. The shock bumper at the end protects against impacts or drops. The saw blade is best cleaned with olive oil. Resin dissolves in olive oil, making this an effective and environmentally friendly way to clean the blade and maintain cutting performance. Tip: when you are not using the saw, dry it thoroughly before sliding the pole sections together. Slide the included sheath over the cleaned saw blade and store the polesaw in a dry place. The Hayate polesaw is available in several extended lengths (item no. 1540500, 1540510, 1540520). Both the pole and the saw blade as well as parts are available separately. The name Hayate is a traditional Japanese name for “strong wind.” That is exactly how this saw moves through trees! Pruning from a distance calls for a reliable and versatile saw. Silky saws are used worldwide by professionals and quality enthusiasts. Manufactured in Japan since 1919 from high-quality SK-4 carbon steel.
