Zübat pruning saws are very popular with green professionals because of their cutting performance. They are part of the basic equipment of arborists, landscapers, and grounds managers.

The Silky Zübat 390-7.5 is a fixed pruning saw with a strongly bent 39 cm saw blade, suitable for branches up to about 19.5 cm thick. The curve keeps the tines in good contact with the branch during the pulling cut, especially when sawing above shoulder height or below knee height. The nose at the tip helps prevent the blade from running out of the cut. The saw blade extends into the handle, which gives the construction extra stability.

The saw blade is made of high-quality Japanese steel and has a coarse Mirai-Me tooth pattern with 7.5 tines per 30 mm and a kerf 1.4 mm wide. The unset tines have multiple cutting surfaces and clear out sawdust well. The coarse tooth pattern engages quickly and is designed for fresh, moisture-rich wood. On dry wood, the tines may have more difficulty biting in and can create more vibration. The tips of the tines are inductively hardened and the blade has a protective nickel coating.

The comfortable rubber handle provides grip and dampens vibration. The included plastic holster has two guide rollers that prevent the tines from damaging the sheath. An opening at the bottom drains moisture and sawdust so it does not accumulate in the holster.

Keep the saw blade clean to maintain good cutting performance. Stuck-on resin can be removed with resin remover or olive oil. Dry the blade after use before folding the saw and store the saw in a dry place.
