Pruning saw SILKY Tsurugi Curve 375-6.5, bent narrow saw blade

Fixed pruning saw SILKY Tsurugi Curve, blade length 375 mm, cutting capacity 188 mm, equipped with a bent saw blade with extra coarse tooth pattern of 6.5 tines per 30 mm, suitable for green wood and dense vegetation. A bent blade cuts faster and more aggressively than a straight blade. When working above shoulder height a bent saw blade provides a better cutting angle and less effort.

The SILKY Tsurugi Curve is a lightweight pruning saw with a low back, making it ideal for pruning in dense growth and branches that are close together, without damaging other branches. The strong blade has high stiffness and extra-coarse, razor-sharp tines that produce a smooth cut.

The bent blade of the Tsurugi Curve saw is chrome-plated and fitted with SILKY’s unique MIRAI-ME tine pattern. The laser-cut tines, with a kerf of 1.7 mm, saw quickly and easily through green wood.

The Tsurugi pruning saw features a very comfortable GENKI handle. It has no bolts or screws, but consists of only two rubber parts that enclose the blade perfectly and securely. Because there are no bolts or screws, the handle absorbs saw vibrations to a maximum and thereby contributes to ergonomics. The GENKI handle provides a very good grip, even in wet conditions or when wearing gloves. Furthermore, no tools are required to replace the saw blade.

The aluminium holster is designed so the saw cannot fall out, yet can be pulled out with one hand. The holster is lightweight and can be mounted for both right- and left-handed users. The two rollers in the holster prevent the sharp tines from damaging the cover. The bottom features a large opening to allow the removal of moisture and sawdust.

Maintenance
To maintain good sawing performance and extend the tool's service life, maintenance is important. After use, dry the saw and use olive oil to clean the blade. Olive oil dissolves resin deposits and is environmentally friendly. Be careful with aggressive cleaning agents, as they can damage the handle. After cleaning, store the saw dry.

SILKY MIRAI-ME tooth design
The tines are ground into the blade with three cutting surfaces. This makes the blade surface and the saw cut extremely smooth. Because one in every few tines (depending on the type) is sharpened outward, sawdust is carried away efficiently. This prevents the cut from clogging and allows smooth sawing. For pruning work, the smooth cut causes minimal damage and quick healing of the pruning wound.

The patented MIRAI-ME tines make it possible to use the saw in 3 ways:
- cutting to length (perpendicular to the wood grain)
- ripping (with the wood grain)
- diagonal across the wood
