Silky fixed pruning saw Tsurugi 300 - 8 including safety holster, for dense foliage. (SILKY article number KSI345030) Blade length: 300 mm (cuts up to approx. 150 mm) Toothing: coarse (8 tines per 30 mm) The narrow straight blade with low spine of the Tsurugi pruning saw is chrome-plated and fitted with Silky's unique Mirai-Me toothing. These laser-cut tines, with a kerf of 1.6 mm, cut quickly and — due to the shape of the narrow blade — easily between branches. The rubber handle fits comfortably and securely in the hand and absorbs vibrations. The Tsurugi pruning saw comes with a lightweight aluminium holster with removable belt clip. The holster is designed so the saw cannot fall out, yet you can pull the saw out in one smooth motion. The two rollers in the holster prevent the sharp tines from damaging the sheath, and the bottom is fitted with a large opening to allow moisture and sawdust to escape. The saw blade is best cleaned with olive oil. Resin dissolves in olive oil, making this an effective and environmentally friendly way to clean the blade and preserve cutting performance. Slide the supplied sheath over the cleaned blade and store the saw in a dry place. The name Tsurugi is taken from a double-edged Japanese sword used in ancient times. Silky saws have been produced in Japan since 1919 from high-quality SK-4 carbon steel.
