Silky Hayauchi polesaw 4900-6.5 with 3-piece telescopic shaft extendable from 235 to 490 cm, complete with a 39 cm saw blade featuring 4-Retsume teeth.

The Silky Hayauchi 4900-6.5 is a four-section polesaw with an extendable length of 235 to 490 cm. The oval aluminium pole provides extra rigidity and makes it easier to determine the position of the saw blade at great height. Push buttons and clamp levers together ensure a stable lock at the set length. The bent saw blade of 39 cm can be set at two angles for high and low pruning work.

The blade has an extra coarse 4-Retsume tooth pattern of 6.5 teeth per 30 mm. The teeth are arranged in four rows and allow for a large chip removal, even when sawing at different angles relative to the grain. This tooth pattern is designed for fast sawing in thick, fresh, and moisture-containing wood. In dry wood, the coarse teeth engage less easily and more vibration can occur. A Hayauchi saw makes a cut 2.3 mm wide.

The saw blade is made of high-quality Japanese steel and features a nickel coating to protect against wear and rust. The lower and upper sickles help, respectively, to pre-score the bark and keep the blade in the cut. The teeth can be sharpened with a Silky file if needed.
