Pitchfork handle ATLAS 180 cm, with spring pin, drilled

ATLAS pitchfork handle made of ash wood, with a length of 180 cm. Fitted with a spring ferrule and a drilled hole. This extra-long fork handle is suitable for two- or three-tined pitchforks with a pin connection.

ATLAS pitchfork handles are made from ash wood rootstock, which contains the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process the sawn ash wood planks are air-dried. During the second process the ash wood is re-dried in a climate chamber under computer control. Because of the re-drying the handle does not shrink and tools remain firmly attached to the handle.

Subsequently the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt and retains its beautiful natural color. Waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasant smooth handle, which prevents blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.

ATLAS pitchfork handles are manufactured entirely energy-neutrally in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths.
