Upper blade FELCO 7/3 F-Tech, anti-friction coating, for FELCO 7 and 8

Upper blade FELCO 7/3 F-Tech, suitable for FELCO pruning shears no. 7 and 8. FELCO F-Tech blades feature an anti-friction coating. The coating reduces friction between the blades themselves and the branch being cut. In addition, the F-Tech coating protects the blade against corrosion, scratches, and cracks.

The FELCO F-Tech coating reduces frictional force by more than 30% on the first cuts*. Thanks to the significantly lower friction, pruning is much smoother, even with harder wood or thicker branches. This makes pruning less strenuous and the F-Tech coating contributes to better ergonomics.

The blade is protected by the FELCO F-Tech coating against the adhesion of plant sap, bacteria, and other contaminants. This contributes to better pruning results and a clean cut. The coating also extends the service life of the upper blade.

FELCO F-Tech is a water-based coating made from nanocomposites.


*The reduction in friction has been tested on hardwood with a diameter of 12 mm. Depending on use, the reduced frictional force decreases after 500 to 1000 cuts to approx. 13%. The F-Tech coating still provides a clearly noticeable difference in reduced frictional force compared with a standard upper blade.
