Upper blade FELCO 2/3 F-Tech, anti-friction coating, for FELCO 2, 4, 11

Upper blade FELCO 2/3 F-Tech, compatible with FELCO pruning shears no. 2, 4 and 11. FELCO F-Tech blades are fitted with an anti-friction coating. The coating reduces the friction between the blades themselves and the branch being pruned. In addition, the F-Tech coating protects the blade against corrosion, scratches and cracking.

The FELCO F-Tech coating reduces the frictional force by more than 30% on the first cuts*. Thanks to the significantly lower friction, pruning goes much more smoothly, even with harder wood or thicker branches. This reduces the effort required for pruning and the F-Tech coating contributes to improved ergonomics.

The blade is protected by the FELCO F-Tech coating against the adhesion of plant sap, bacteria and other contaminants. This contributes to better pruning results and a cleaner cut. The coating also extends the lifespan of the upper blade.

FELCO F-Tech is a water-based coating composed of nanocomposites.


*The friction reduction was tested on hardwood with a diameter of 12 mm. Depending on use, the friction-reducing effect declines to approximately 13% after 500 to 1000 cuts. The F-Tech coating still delivers a clearly noticeable reduction in friction compared to a standard upper blade.*
