The FELCO F-Gold upper blade 2/3 reduces friction and the adhesion of plant sap and bacteria.

Upper blade FELCO 2/3 F-Gold, fits FELCO pruning shears no. 2, 4 and 11. FELCO F-Gold blades are fitted with a Gold and Cobalt coating (AuCo). The coating protects the blade against corrosion, scratches and cracking. In addition, it reduces the friction between the blades themselves and the branch being pruned.

The FELCO F-Gold coating reduces friction by more than 30%. Because of the significantly lower friction, pruning goes much more smoothly, even on harder wood or somewhat thicker branches. This means pruning requires less effort and the F-Gold coating contributes to improved ergonomics.

Also, the blade is protected by the F-Gold coating against adhesion of plant sap, resin and bacteria. This contributes to a better pruning result, a cleaner cut and less spread of plant and tree diseases. The F-Gold coating also extends the lifespan of the upper blade.
