Rat trap - LUNA tunnel-model wooden live trap 35 cm

Rat trap or live catch cage LUNA tunnel model, equipped with a wooden base, length 35 cm.

Walk-in trap for effectively catching rats alive. The cage is made of durable galvanised steel wire. Easy to operate, easy to empty.

How do you set a rat trap?

Open the catch cage and place bait in the designated spot (at the back of the cage).
Use attractive bait such as peanut butter, meat, or chocolate spread.
Check that the mechanism works properly and the door closes smoothly.
Place the cage securely on a flat surface.

Where do you place a rat trap?

Place the catch cage along walls, fences, or in corners (rats follow fixed routes).
Position the opening of the cage in the direction the rat travels.
Place the cage in locations where you see activity (droppings, burrows, gnaw marks).
Make sure the cage does not wobble or shift.

What is the best way to catch rats?

Use multiple catch cages in case of a larger infestation.
Check the rat trap daily, possibly twice a day.
Use fresh bait and replace it regularly for optimal results.
Keep the area as quiet as possible so the rats will dare to enter the cage.

What to do when you catch a rat?

Always wear gloves when handling the catch cage.
Move the cage carefully without letting the animal escape.
Follow local laws and regulations for releasing or handling the rat.
Clean the trap if necessary before using it again.
Always wash your hands afterward.

Tip: Rats are smart and cautious. You can place the catch cage unset for a few days with bait first, so the rat gets used to it (pre-baiting).

Attach a cord to the cage. This makes moving it easier.
