For extra strength and stability the outer tines have a diameter of 3 mm. The remaining tines have a diameter of 2.5 mm. The bracket forms a strong connection with the socket, ensuring the tines retain their correct shape. In addition, the holes in the bracket are the same size as the tines — 3 mm for the outer ones and 2.5 mm for the others. This prevents unnecessary friction, resulting in less wear. Waxing gives the handle a longer service life, a pleasantly smooth feel, and helps prevent blisters.
