Paver’s shovel ATLAS 1/2 000 hardened, lacquered, without handle

Paving shovel or screeding shovel ATLAS, Drents model with socket angle 1/2 bent and blade size 000, supplied without handle. The plain lacquered blade is hardened, has a sharp edge, and a flat underside.

By combining this shovel with an extra double-bent ATLAS handle, it sits nicely high while the blade stays neatly flat on the ground or the sand bed. This shovel is therefore ideal for pavers.

Explanation of socket angle

The socket angle indicates the angle relative to the blade. The higher the socket angle, the more bent the socket is. This determines whether a shovel is designed for digging or scooping. The socket angle is measured from the ground up to the socket, when the blade lies flat on the ground.

Straight: the handle stands almost straight on the blade

1/4: the socket is bent 35 mm, for example for digging shovels

1/2: the socket is bent 55 mm, for example for scoop shovels and concrete shovels

3/4: the socket is bent 70 cm, for example with scoop shovels and deep shovels

Explanation of blade width

In the past, there were blade widths ranging from number 2 down to 0, with 2 being the largest. Over time, the blades had to become smaller because of working conditions, and smaller sizes were introduced.
