Digging shovels with handles

A digging shovel or Drents-model spade is available in several versions

A digging shovel, also known as a panschop or Drents-model shovel, has a fairly straight socket angle. The most common is socket angle 1/4 bent. Digging shovels are available with handles in various designs and lengths. Professional users usually choose a polished shovel with a step. For scooping sand and soil a scoop shovel is more convenient: scoop shovels.
