Gooseneck shovel handle ATLAS of ash wood, double-bent T-handle in length 100 cm, with strong through-mount T-grip. Also called Gooseneck paving T-handle or swan-neck T-handle. Gooseneck shovel handles are recognizable by the thickened underside of the handle. The thickened underside makes the handle extra strong and ensures it sits firmly in the hand.
Thanks to the double-bent S-shaped form, the handle sits nicely high while the shovel or concrete shovel rests flat on the sand. This ATLAS double-bent gooseneck shovel handle is usually used in the infrastructure and paving sector together with a concrete shovel, flat shovel, digging shovel or a scoop shovel.
ATLAS Blijham handles are made from ash rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process sawn ash wood planks are air-dried. During the second process the ash wood is computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. Because of the re-drying the handle does not shrink, tools remain firmly attached to the handle and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or staples.Next the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt and retains its attractive natural light colour. The waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasant smooth handle, preventing blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.ATLAS Blijham handles are manufactured entirely energy-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths and versions.
