Digging fork handle ATLAS 90 cm with wide grip 24 cm

Spitriek handle ATLAS of ash wood, straight T-handle 90 cm in length, with wide through-mount T-grip. This handle is, among others, suitable for the pointed spade Boskoop model with article number 810170. The 24 cm wide grip provides a comfortable hold and good working posture. Two rivets are required for assembly (see article number 651620, also for the assembly advice).

ATLAS spitriek handles are made from ash rootstocks; this contains the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process sawn ash planks are air-dried. During the second process the ash wood is re-dried in a climate chamber under computer control. By re-drying the handle does not shrink, tools remain firmly attached to the handle and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or a staple.

Subsequently the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt and retains its beautiful natural light color. Waxing provides a longer lifespan and a pleasant smooth handle, preventing blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
