Fencing maul handle ATLAS 110 cm, head size 50 x 34 mm

Fencing maul handle or garden hammer handle ATLAS of ash wood, with head dimensions 50 x 34 mm and length 110 cm. Suitable for a wooden fencing maul or garden hammer with an oval hole, such as the hammers with article numbers 650800, 650820 and 650950. Due to the oval shape of the handle the hammer head always stays in the correct striking orientation. For mounting this tapered handle no spie or wedge is needed.

ATLAS fencing maul and hammer handles are made from ash butt logs, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process sawn ash planks are air-dried. During the second process the ash wood is computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. By re-drying the handle does not shrink and the hammer head remains firmly fixed to the handle.

Subsequently the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt and retains its beautiful natural light colour. The waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasant smooth handle, thereby preventing blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.

ATLAS fencing maul handles are manufactured entirely energy-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths and versions.
