Drainage spade or drainagespade SPEAR & JACKSON 1044 TRD provided with straight steps and an ash wood ATLAS T-handle 80 cm long. The steps prevent damage to footwear during digging.

This strong forged spade is also called a trenching spade or drainagespade. The spade is ideal for digging a narrow trench for, for example, underground cable, irrigation, or drainage. Thanks to the slightly pointed tapering blade, the spade easily penetrates the soil. Because of the length of the blade, the trench can easily be made sufficiently deep so that cables and pipes lie at a safe depth.
