Manure fork handle or pitchfork handle ATLAS made of ash wood, bent model with a length of 130 cm, equipped with a ferrule and a drilled hole. Suitable for forks with a socket connection.

ATLAS fork handles are made from ash rootstock, which contains the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood boards are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is kiln-dried in a climate chamber under computer control. Because of the drying process, the handle does not shrink, and tools stay firmly attached to the handle.

Next, the ATLAS fork handles are bent in boiling water. This causes the grain or fiber of the wood to follow the bend in the handle, preventing the grain from running out of the handle (a tapering grain is weaker). The bending process makes the handle extremely strong.

Finally, the ATLAS handle is waxed with the plant-based Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful natural color. Waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters. In addition, waxing handles with a plant-based wax is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
