Spear & Jackson spade type 1041AR, complete with an extra-long, very strong fiberglass T-handle. The total length of the spade is 125 cm. Suitable for heavy-duty use. The distinctive yellow handle has a number of specific features such as: the handgrip is covered with natural rubber, the handle has a thick 16 mm fiberglass reinforcement and is encased in special plastic. This plastic protects the fiberglass against damage (damaged fiberglass splinters into hundreds of upright fibers and can cause wounds with infections). This handle is not completely rigid, but has a certain degree of desired springiness. Because this handle is so strong (stronger than the blade), no warranty is given for breakage of the fitted spade blade. If, unexpectedly, the handle or the blade needs to be replaced, these are available separately (handle item no. 211800 or 211802), (blade item no. 810409), (rivet item no. 651590).
