Drainage spade ATLAS DIAMANT with round treads and ATLAS T-handle 80 cm
ATLAS DIAMANT drainage spade with round treads and strong ash wood T-handle.
Drainage spade ATLAS DIAMANT equipped with a round step and ATLAS T-handle 80 cm in length, equipped with a through-mount T-grip.
This sturdy forged spade is also called a trenching spade or drainagespade. The spade is ideal for digging a narrow trench for, for example, underground cable, irrigation, or drainage. Thanks to its slightly tapered, pointed blade, the spade easily penetrates the soil. Because of the blade's length, the trench can easily be made deep enough so that cables and pipes lie at a safe depth.
The blade has a sharp polished cutting edge. This reduces resistance while digging and causes less soil to stick to the blade. The large round treads prevent damage to footwear while digging. Because of the round shape of the step, it doesn't catch on anything.
The ATLAS spade handle is made from ash rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood has been re-dried in a computer-controlled climate chamber. This prevents the handle from shrinking, keeps the spade rock-solidly attached to the handle, and allows the through-mount T-grip to be pressed onto the handle without glue or staples. The through-mount T-grip feels comfortable in the hand and provides a good grip while digging.
Additionally, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba, which ensures a longer lifespan and a pleasantly smooth handle, thereby preventing blisters.
