Digging shovel ATLAS, Drents model with a 1/4 bent socket angle and blade size 000, complete with a bent ATLAS shovel handle of 110 cm length, provided with a through-mount T-grip. The lacquered blade is hardened and has a flat, curved step. Thanks to the step, footwear is not damaged.

The ash ATLAS shovel handle is made from ash butt sections, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing and strong. The ash wood is re-dried in a climate chamber under computer control. As a result the handle does not shrink, tools remain rock-solid on the handle and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or a staple. ATLAS handles are bent in boiling water. As a result the wood grain in the handle bends along and it prevents the grain from running out of the handle. The bending process makes the handle extremely strong. In addition the ATLAS handle is waxed with the plant-based Carnauba which provides a longer lifespan and a pleasant smooth handle, thereby preventing blisters.

Explanation socket angle
The socket angle indicates the angle relative to the blade. The higher the socket angle, the more slanted the socket is. This determines whether a spade or shovel is designed for stabbing or scooping. The socket angle is measured from the ground to the socket when the blade lies flat on the ground.

Straight: the handle stands almost straight on the blade

Explanation blade width
