Engineer's hammer handle ATLAS made of ash wood for a 500 gram engineer's hammer, with head size 26 x 19 mm and length 32 cm. Due to the oval shape of the handle, the hammer head is always aligned in the correct striking direction. For mounting the handle, a metal hammer wedge no. 3 with article number 651425 is recommended.

ATLAS hammer handles are made from ash tree rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood boards are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. Because of the re-drying, the handle does not shrink and the hammer head stays firmly attached to the handle.

The ATLAS handle is then waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful natural color. The waxing provides a longer lifespan and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters. Moreover, waxing handles with a plant-based wax is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
